San Giuseppe (19 marzo)

Si festeggia  come in ogni luogo cristiano il 19 di marzo. Il primo maggio invece si festeggia San Giuseppe lavoratore.

La solennità  del 1° maggio si svolge presso la Cappella che si trova alla periferia nord dell’abitato. In prima fila ci sono tutte le rappresentanze delle maestranze geracesi. Alla fine della solenne celebrazione viene distribuito ai fedeli il “Pane di San Giuseppe”, benedetto in precedenza. Questa festa, in pratica, apre la stagione delle scampagnate della popolazione geracese.

ST. JOSEPH (MARCH 19)

It is celebrated as in every Christian place on March 19. On May 1, however, St. Joseph the Worker is celebrated.

The May 1 solemnity is held at the Chapel located on the northern outskirts of the town. In the front row are all the representatives of the geracese workers. At the end of the solemn celebration, "St. Joseph's Bread," blessed earlier, is distributed to the faithful. This feast, in practice, opens the outing season of the geracese population.
