Chiesa del Collegio di Maria
Il Collegio di Maria sorse nel 1738, primo della Diocesi di Messina, con licenza del prelato don Tommaso de Vichel. Ebbe vita molto difficile. Nell’anno di fondazione vennero a Geraci dal Collegio di Maria di Monreale due maestre fondatrici : Suor Marianna Viviano, poi eletta Superiora ed M. Gioacchina Vitale, poi Vicaria. Le prime convittrici entrarono il 6 luglio del 1738. Il 26 luglio dello stesso anno, festa di Sant’Anna fu portato con solenne processione dalla chiesa madre al Collegio di Maria il SS. Sacramento. La chiesa è ad una navata in stile barocco. E’ stata restaurata nel 1976. Facciata in pietra marmorea del 1700.

TELA: Raffigura la natività. Nel margine inferiore sinistro si legge: “ANNO DOMINI 1651 D. MARIANUS FRAXANO ARCH. ETATIS ANNI XXXVII SUIS SUMPTIBUS HOC OPUS FIERI FECIT. Proviene dalla chiesa madre.
TELA DELL’ABSIDE: Raffigura l’incoronazione della Madonna da parte della SS. Trinità. 1774.
VIA CRUCIS: Stampe inglesi.
PALIOTTO ALTARE MAGGIORE: Fondo rosso ricamato a motivi floreali multicolori. Al centro il simbolo di Maria. Una Emme con corona.
TELA: Raffigura la Madonna del Carmelo. Nel margine inferiore si legge : “ SAC. JACOBUS DOMINA BENEFACTOR D.O.M. 1785.
ALTARE: In legno con intarsi.
CROCIFISSO: Dipinto su legno. Secolo XVII.
STATUA: raffigura S. Michele Arcangelo. Scultura lignea policroma della metà del XVII secolo. Ignoto scultore siciliano.
Ogni suora del Collegio di Maria ha nella propria cella un “Bambinello” in cera con culla. Alcuni sono del 1700 ornati con coralli e trine di fattura artigianale locale.

CHURCH OF THE COLLEGE OF MARY
The College of Mary arose in 1738, the first in the Diocese of Messina, by license of the prelate Don Tommaso de Vichel. It had a very difficult life. In the founding year two founding teachers came to Geraci from the College of Mary of Monreale : Sister Marianna Viviano, later elected superior and M. Gioacchina Vitale, later Vicar. The first female boarders entered on July 6, 1738. On July 26 of the same year, the feast of St. Anne, the Blessed Sacrament was carried in solemn procession from the Mother Church to the College of Mary. The church is one-nave in Baroque style. It was restored in 1976. Marble stone facade from the 1700s.

INSCRIPTION: On plaster. Located in the ceiling. It reads, "VENITE FILII, AUDITE ME : TIMOREM DOMINI DOCEBO VOS 1774."
CANVAS: Depicts Our Lady of the Rosary. 17th century.
CANVAS: Depicts the nativity. The lower left margin reads, "ANNO DOMINI 1651 D. MARIANUS FRAXANO ARCH. ETATIS ANNI XXXVII SUIS SUMPTIBUS HOC OPUS FIERI FECIT. It comes from the mother church.
CANVAS OF THE ABSIDE: Depicts the coronation of Our Lady by the Holy Trinity. 1774.

ALTAR MAJOR PALIOT: Red background embroidered with multicolored floral motifs. In the center the symbol of Mary. One Emme with crown.
CANVAS: Depicts Our Lady of Mount Carmel. The lower margin reads : " SAC. JACOBUS DOMINA BENEFACTOR D.O.M. 1785.
ALTAR: In wood with inlays.
CROCIFIX: Painted on wood. 17th century.
STATUE: Depicts St. Michael the Archangel. Polychrome wooden sculpture from the mid-17th century. Unknown Sicilian sculptor.
